Little Apple Dolls -- Mirari -- Arrived!

A month ago, I was eyeing the Little Apple Dolls on eBay. I got to the point in which I was rather obsessed with them too and started blogging about them. Zom offered to upfront them for me as I did not have a credit card to purchase them online. Zom received some time earlier this week and today - after moving - had the chance to go down to the city and fetch it. This special edition Little Apple Doll is finally mine! I am a happy lass. The best part is, it's a birthday present from Zom.

London Court -- Perth
On my way to meet Zom.

The parcel.

Couldn't wait to open it!

Mirari

Why are they called Little Apple Dolls?

"Little Red Apple says once upon a time he was an ordinary apple, small and plain and red. He grew from a tree in an orchard. There were many like him. He says the fate of ordinary apples is grim: sometimes it gets lonely up there. Sometimes fallen apples were left to rot. Sometimes they were used as target practice and if you were real lucky...at sun up they come and get you and make you into food stuff. But Little Red Apple was to take another path..he is protector of Sine, the Keeper's Soul. Sine is the Keeper of The Inbetween Place. The children who live here are wandering souls. Little Red Apple says the children of the Inbetween Place are lost and lonely and need protecting."

I had to add the spikes in. And they weren't sharp. Spent whole of the morning fixing the "nails" in.

Presenting to you, Mirari

"Mirari make the most wonderous thing. She could make something out of almost anything and other things out of nothing. Her greatest work of all came from a gift her father gave her. Little Red Apple says you cannot always be sure of what you see and even if you choose to trust your eyes, it may lead you to a darker fate.. Mirari found herself in the Inbetween Place when her dreams and walking life became one in the same."

Comes with a story booklet. Each doll has their own special story. Too long to explain here but some stories can be found online.

One of the nicest thing a friend ever gave me for my birthday.
