The fine two weeks break that we CIC students get for Christmas is great. More time for socialising and I find that absolutely fantastic. Let's see how I spent it shall we?

24th - 25th Dec - Christmas Eve party at Lin Hu's house (crashed over)

25th Dec - BBQ Party at Lin Hu's friend's (Ivan & Moe) place

"One fine day I shall pop Edward's other scrotum. He keeps pinching my fat and calling me Fei Mui! WTFKNSTNSCB he has some fat on him too hahhaha FEI CHAI." [27/12/1008]

It was so sweet of Bel to crochet me a cute little bear as a Christmas present for me! I already felt bad that I didn't get them a wedding gift (as per requested on their wedding invitation) and now she actually put in effort to make me something! But I don't celebrate Christmas unfortunately. I will have to get them something. For some reason, I feel like buying a rice cooker for them. See how cute it is!

Nice isn't it?

Rottnest Island Revisited

Finally back in Perth. For the hols I decided to go with my house mates for a trip to Rottnest Island. Again. Well, it's the only time that I can drag them somewhere. This time instead of a day trip we decided on staying a night at one of Rottnest's accomodation - backpacker's lodge.

On the way to Rottnest Island via Rottnest Express ferry. Camwhoring with K.

The Attack of the Quokkas!

Our accomodation for the night.

K and Stephanie

ahhhh... taking a sip of Pipsqueak Cider.

K as superman!

What's a student holiday without some alcohol?

Taking a camwhore break after cycling to Parker's Point (and there were many freaking hills!)

Our last lunch on the island before heading back to the mainland.

1/2kg of King Prawns!

Talk about food orgasm!!!!!

Nonetheless, I'm now two shades darker and have a fucking ridiculous sunnies tan on my face.

My tan is not even and I'm peeling.

I feel as if I have eczema.

Fuck.

It burns!!!

I Shall Return

Ah. I'll be away for two whole days! Not like it makes a difference nowadays anyways. Yes, I have not been blogging for a while now. Just seemed to me like there was nothing really special to blog about. Ah yes, I nearly forgot about my recent clubbing escapade but I shall do that when I return! Just too knackered to actually blog about it now since I have to wake up at 7am to get ready and why am I not in bed? Am eating a cheeseburger and a slurping away with a frozen coke from McD. I just got back from KTV not long ago. You see, I'm trying to maximise my time and energy of my youth while it still lasts.

Blah.

It's 2:11am.

I should be in bed.

What can I say?

I'm an owl. But I really should get my fat arse to bed. OK. I'm really going off now.

I shall return.

First Step to Driving

Finally, I have decided to go for my L's in Australia. No. I do not know how to drive yet but yet again this is just a stepping stone for me to learn how to drive. The L license (Learners' license) in Australia basically means that I have passed the theory test and have to find a driving instructor or someone who has had their P license for over 4 years to teach me. Now, all I need is someone to teach me...

My First SLR Camera!! -- Canon 450D

Ah. What a life. Sometimes it's just so nice to be able to splurge on something you really want and be thrilled about your new toy but then worry about the savings!!! No, I have not hit the bottom of my bank account yet, I always leave a certain amount for back up in any case of emergency. Anyways, I had to go to uni and hand in my uni application form. Gosh. Brought back bad memories of high school where application to uni was my living nightmare. Hopefully I pass every unit this semester. Even if it's just a pass I'm happy! I really don't ask for much in life do I? I mean in terms of how far I'm going to get in life. I do not really have any plans of getting rich (not that I can get rich anyways) and all I want to do in life is to fulfill the simple pleasures of having to see the world (travel) and take photos and just document my journeys. Photography is also a good way for documentation and I have been fascinated with SLR cameras since I've first laid my hands on my friend's old Canon SLR. Anyways, back to the topic. I arrived at Perth city around 11am where I had to get some information about applying for a credit card and by the time I've got it settled, I managed to meet SC up for dim sum! YAY! First time meeting SC. She is quiet, but has very interesting things to say. Basically spent the whole day chatting with her as to get to know her btter. She also followed me and show me where the Licensing Centre is but as forgetful as I am, I totally forgot about my bank statement!! KNS. Headed back to the city and went back to Commonwealth and printed off the statement and withdrew cash for the camera.

Canon Eos 450D. Here I come!

Hopefully I'll be able to start somewhat of a photoblog. We'll see! I'll have to get used to this baby first!!

I love my baby!

Ha-Lu: Japanese Fine Dining

I got invited for dinner with Bel and Takeshi and his ex-colleagues at Ha-Lu's. Turned out to be a fine dining restaurant. Boy, it's been a long time since I've been to a fancy restaurant. What matters most to me at these sort of places isn't the price, it's the quality of the food and service. The variety of food served at that restaurant was rather small but most things on the menu looks extremely yummy. The best deal was the bento meals though (Francis, Me, Bel and Takeshi ordered the same set - The Ha-Lu Bento). Mind you, the bento set was perfect! Not too small, not too large, I consumed every bit of food on the bento box (except for the miso soup). Jeremy ordered the sashimi of the day and it looked fab. Should have gotten that too, but there were 2 slices of tuna and another 2 slices of salmon sashimi.

Jeremy bought the cute teapot cake as a wedding gift to Bel and Takeshi. Makes me feel bad that I didn't get them anything for the wedding. Since Bel is staying in Perth for a while, I should get them something. And oh, I had 2 very nice eye candy :D

I love good-looking people.

Kati's Surprise Birthday Greeting

Sometimes I hated having 7 other housemates in the same house. They either finish the quota from downloading too many movies or leave the toilet with icky poo stains after they finished defecating right AFTER my turn cleaning the toilet. I should be as inconsiderate and leave brown chunky stains on the bowl too after I finish shitting. Enough anger rant. The good side in having some close housemates is the surprise they plan for you on your special day. I've had my fair share on my 18th, so I'm not complaining. Albert and Kristy bought Kati just a simple cake from Coles (it's the thought that counts right?) and we all gathered infront of his room door, knocked and sleepily, Kati opened the door and we sang at the top of our lungs "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!".

I love my housemates sometimes. It's a love hate relationship.

New Friends

Adults are funny sometimes. Some of them just act as crazy as your average teenager, some even wilder. And I think to myself "How old are they?". Are they just pretending or are they really that wild? And they say we teenagers are scarily unpredictable. Fucking hypocrites. Well, I can add another two wacky adult-friends to the list. Lin and Tony. Both in their mid 20s and accountants. As wacky as I am or should I say even wackier??

Shanghainese (I'm a quarter, mind you)

"MESHA!!! YOU STUCK THOSE DAMN CHOPSTICKS UP MY ARSE!!", said Lin Hu as the accused me of violating his ass.

I DID NOT! *angelic smile*
If you look carefully, you'll actually see a halo.. Can you see it?

CAN YOU SEE IT???

I suck at pool. I really do.
